Why is eating healthy so expensive?
I spent a good 5 minutes in the grocery store in the bread aisle trying to find the most nutritious loaf of bread at a decent price. i dont understand why the white bread is cheaper than the whole wheat or whole grain bread. i mean the wheat bread is less processed than the white bread which means is should be cheaper since it doesn't go through many steps right?..ok i might be wrong but if we want people to eat more healthier prevent obesity and all the comorbidities then why are we making financially impossible to do? i mean being on a budget i would of gotten the white bread but then i would feel like a hypocrite because i consantly educate people to choose whole grains over white, highly processed starches. canned fruit is cheaper than fresh fruit and getting an egg white on a roll is more expensive than a regular egg on a roll? but why if it is missing the yolk? does the yolk cost (negative cents) or does it really take an extra 50 cents for someone to separate the egg white from the yolk. I mean technically egg white should be cheaper because you can save the yolk and make a lemon meringue pie.
alright im done, i just wanted to share my thoughts.
